Limited Warranty

1. PERIOD OF WARRANTY
Every Makita (Australia) power tool is thoroughly inspected and tested leaving the factory. In addition to any warranties or conditions implied by applicable State or Regulations, Makita (Australia) Pty Ltd warrants all of its products against defective workmanship and faulty materials for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase and undertakes, at its option, to repair or replace, free of charge, each product or part thereof on condition that:

The complete machine is returned to Makita (Australia) Pty Ltd or one of its Authorised Service Agents, freight pre-paid and found, on examination, to be suffering from a material or constructional defect.

The machine or relevant part has not been subjected to misuse, neglect, or been involved in an accident.

The repairs are not required as a result of normal wear and tear.

Makita (Australia) Pty Ltd cannot be held responsible for any repair other than those carried out by it or one of its Authorised Service Agents.

2. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS, LIMITATIONS AND RIGHTS
The following exclusions, limitations and rights apply:

I) The owner must operate the Makita (Australia) product in accordance with the instructions provided in the instruction manual supplied.

II) The use of spare parts and accessories and components not supplied by Makita (Australia) Pty Ltd will result in warranty being refused.

III) Normal Servicing including tune-ups, lubricants, daily, weekly and quarterly maintenance which are fully explained in the owner’s instruction manual are at the owner’s cost.

IV) The owner is responsible to ensure that the blade or cutting attachment is correctly sharpened and adjusted, and proper maintenance inspections are carried out as explained in the owner’s instruction manual.

V) Tuning of the engine must be set to Makita (Australia) specifications as provided in the owner’s instruction manual, otherwise damage or seizure of the motor may occur.

VI) Failure of this Makita (Australia) product resulting from the use of incorrect fuel or oil mix for the engine or use of incorrect lubrication for associated components.

VII) Any indirect or consequential loss, damage, cost or expense suffered by the owner that may have resulted either directly or indirectly from the failure or malfunction of any Makita (Australia) product.
